Love. What is the first thought that pops into your mind? A boy kneeling down with a flower in his hand about
to ask this girl that he has singled out to love to spend the rest of her life with him? Two couples sharing a milk shake?
Everybody knows that love is something that someone feels affectionately towards another person whether its a Mom, Dad, Sister,
Husband, Boyfriend, Friend, and even your Dog or pet. But what is it? Nothing in the world can explain it better than in the
bible. In the bible it says that:
Love does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts,
always hopes, always preserves.

Corinthians 13:4-7 All these scriptures have a lot to say and here are some explanations about love.
Explanation 1: Love is patient: We all have our little pet peeves whether Its watching someone spit on the ground to having
to keep waiting for a friend to shut her mouth for a few minutes so you can put your measly 3 cents in. But love looks past
pet peeves and says I love you in spite of you talking all in my face with out a breath mint. Of course you can kindly hand
them one but love doesn’t let us get bent out of shape.
Explanation 2: Love is kind: Loves doesn’t leave people struggling it helps. If someone had that money you don’t
say oh well to bad and walk away. Jesus wouldn’t do that he would give them some money as long as he knew that he was
spending it on something that doesn’t go against our bodies. When we show kindness we show them Jesus and Christian
means Christ-like we should always strive to be like God.
Explanation 3: Love does not envy: Love doesn’t do a spin off of Cain and Able. So what if your sister/brother is
the smart one or cute one of the family. You shouldn’t let that get in the way of how you feel toward each other. When
you feel like your parents are listening more to you sister/brother than you and that you cant do what she/he does, just remember
that even though you are related to him/her there are some things that they cant do that you can. God made each child different
for a reason so we can all pitch in in a family and help each other with the talent that we have. So when you feel your blood
boiling because your parents or teacher patted your sibling on the head again for another job well done, walk over there and
encourage them to keep doing what they do best.
Explanation 4: Love does not boast: Basically this verse is saying that love does not flutter about like a peacock in everyone
else’s face. Nobody likes feeling bad, nobody likes to fail and when they do fail they don’t want someone who
has succeeded strutting around and saying Oh look at me I just knew I was so much better than you. If someone does not do
as good as you if you have Gods love in you, you would be modest about your accomplishments and help others to accomplish
theirs. Gods love does not make us narrow minded but opened to every soul that needs God in order to win one to Christ you
must show them that his love is in you.
Explanation 5: It is not rude or self-seeking: True love does not expect a reward or some act of gratitude. It is happy
to help and expects nothing in return. It gives until it can give no more and doesn’t expect to gain power or money.
It is pure of heart and takes no greed with it. Love doesn’t embarrass or expose someone or something to the crowd when
it doesn’t want to be exposed or embarrass. It doesn’t push or shove or say Ill be your friend when there’s
not anyone around but when they are scram ! That’s not true love .
Explanation 6 : It is not easily angered : You heard the verse be ye angry and sin not. Just because your angry at someone
at that time doesn't mean that your going to be angry at then forever so before you do something that you might regret, think
about it so you can cool off. Anger is like a quick spirit that can take over you if you let it . Anger can make you forget
how much you love someone until they're gone, it can keep two sisters away from each other for something that happened a long
time ago.
Love doesn't discriminate and you don't have to do something really impressive to get it. It's an honor to be loved, don't
ever betray someone’s love because you'll miss it when it's not around. So next time you see your love ones give them
a hug or a kiss that says thanks for being there.
